Bio

Charlie is a partner in our firm’s Business and Transactions group. He is deeply invested in his clients’ success.

Charlie employs a straightforward and practical approach to transactions and the practice of law to meet his clients’ goals and objectives. As a strategic advisor, Charlie is committed to building long-lasting relationships with his clients by understanding their businesses and supporting them across their businesses’ life cycle.   

Charlie’s practice is focused on mergers and acquisitions, debt financing, private capital markets and shareholder and partnership arrangements in a Canadian, cross-border and international context. Charlie’s clients include private equity firms, business owners, and lenders. He also works closely with a network of agencies, organizations, and advisors to provide effective legal advice and solutions to foreign investors doing business in Canada.

Charlie loves what he does because of the fast-paced nature of his practice and his role in helping resolve the unique challenges and issues his clients encounter.

Outside the office, Charlie enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, swimming, travelling and watching Disney movies. As a native of South Korea, Charlie is fluent in Korean.
