Erran’s meticulous and rigorous approach to the law puts her clients’ minds at ease knowing that their wills and estate planning are well taken care of.
Erran is an associate at Robins Appleby and advises clients on all areas of trusts and estates law, including the preparation of wills, the creation and operation of trusts, and estate administration issues. Erran assists clients with structuring estate planning to best provide for beneficiaries while minimizing taxes, and provides guidance to executors, trustees, and beneficiaries regarding probate applications and the preparation of estate accounting. Before joining Robins Appleby as an associate in the Wills and Estates group, Erran assisted in all of the firm’s practice areas as both a summer and articling student.
Erran was called to the bar in 2022 after receiving her law degree from the University of Toronto in 2021. During her legal education, Erran volunteered with the Tenant Duty Counsel Assistance Project, assisting Duty Counsel in providing legal advice and resources to unrepresented tenants at the Landlord and Tenant Board. She also acted as a mentor with Law in Action Within Schools, an education program which aims to support and motivate high school students by exposing them to the law and legal education. Prior to law school, Erran earned her Bachelor of Science degree from York University, graduating summa cum laude with a specialized honours degree in kinesiology.
Outside of the office, Erran enjoys running and exploring Toronto. She is also a semi-retired hockey player, now playing recreationally after being a member of the varsity women’s ice hockey team at York University.
