Bio

Kavita’s experience as an internationally trained lawyer coupled with her finance background enables her to provide a well-rounded perspective to her clients. She understands that each client has unique needs and objectives and strives to take a client-centric approach, by actively listening to her clients to craft tailored legal strategies that align with their goals.

Kavita joined Robins Appleby as a legal assistant in the condominium group and later articled with the firm. Kavita is now back at Robins Appleby as an associate in the Commercial Real Estate and Development Group with a particular focus on condominium development and sales. Kavita works with experienced as well as first time developers and assists them in all stages of various condominium development such as commercial, residential, phased, common elements, vacant land as well as subdivision projects.

Kavita hails from Mumbai, India and is an internationally trained lawyer. Her journey to the legal field began with a solid foundation in business, as prior to joining law school, she earned her Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Mumbai with a specialised honour in Accounting. Along with her bachelors, she completed the Chartered Secretary course which is a specialized course focused on regulatory compliance and corporate governance. Kavita was called to the bar in Ontario in June 2023. Her commitment to providing quality legal solutions, coupled with her cross-cultural experience, enables her to approach legal challenges from a unique perspective.

Outside of the office, Kavita enjoys painting and is an avid fan of Bollywood movies. She also enjoys yoga and meditation as the solitude brings her a sense of calm and peace. Apart from English, Kavita is fluent in Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati.
