The collection that was assembled by Dr. Hendeles is considered among the finest private collections of contemporary art in the world. The transaction was brokered by the New York office of famed art dealer Hauser & Wirth. The purchaser was Glenstone, a private museum of contemporary art located in Potomac, Maryland founded by American industrialist Mitchell P. Rales. The transaction was featured in the New York Times, The Globe and Mail and the Toronto Star.
